Spring Concert and Other Things

Caitlyn had her spring concert at school today. They sang The Lollipop Tree and another song that I have never heard of. Was quite cute. And my kid looked adorable (as if there was any question???) I was able to take the day off so that I could go and watch. Which is always nice. The auditorium wasn't nearly as crowded as it is for the Christmas assembly though. Which I find interesting. Here she is on stage. Note the boy in front of her in the plaid shirt. That would be Hugo. The man of her dreams. Who, she found out from another girl at school yesterday, does in fact like her as well. I'm not exactly sure what this "relationship entails. But I certainly need to monitor the situation as she loves talking about him.



And here she is when she came off the stage. Really folks, look at that mouth. What in God's name is going on in that thing?? Is there any question about whether or not braces are in our future? If you are questioning it, I think you're foolish. There is no avoiding it for this child. And this picture is proof of that fact.

Only 15 days of school left for me. That can't happen soon enough. I don't think I am doing summer school this year either. If I do, it will only be 5-7 days spread out over 5 weeks. That totally works for me.

I am nearing the end of the term for school too, that ends June 18th. I have already registered for a summer class. It will be a bit more intense because it is only 6 weeks long and meets 2 nights a week for 2 hours each meeting. But the sooner I can get done with all of these classes the better.
